Manhattans’ fabled skyline is best appreciated across water, and the Promenade in Brooklyn Heights is the finest vantage point in the city from which to view it. The COB Residence, a duplex apartment in a nineteenth century townhouse on the Promenade, is designed around a 21ft/7m high library lit from above with skylights and crowned with a roof garden. The impact of the light from above is further enhanced by the using glass floor panels to bring daylight to the core of the plan.
